«Contemplations», 2021

«Contemplations» is a series partially based on Klingler’s work as an artistinresidence with Elke Mark. Her works are realized through deep concentration, but her insights are not the result of intellectual abstraction. Instead, they arise from the depths of her movement and her awareness of rhythm in space and time. Hers is a physical empathy in resonance with other bodies in the immediate environment. In the Contemplations «Arm-Fransen» and «Herz-Tentakel-Antenne-Greifer» [tr. arm-fringes and heart-tentacle-antenna-pincers], the artist uses voice to create sounds or words that complement her physicality as she endeavors to grasp the mystery that underpins her compositions.
