UN ON is an improvisation-based choreography including sound, language, and texts. Martina-Sofie Wildberger considers unlearning as a cultural technique for re-conceiving established patterns and discourses: how can learned behaviours, communicative gestures, and human interaction be newly defined? Through repetitions that begin to deviate and produce variations, the performers initiate the process of unlearning and beginning anew, resulting in surprising gestures as well as modulations of language and movement. Wildberger is particularly interested in intermediate states and moments of non-understanding during which bodily knowledge is only just in the process of becoming.
